Today we will be exploring the impressive damage done by Cyclone Jasper and it's record breaking flooding of Cairns to the northern sugarcane railways of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. We will be looking at damage such as an entirely collapsed bridge, lines buried in sand and mud as well as a discussion about what Mulgrave Mill; the owner of these 2ft (610mm) gauge sugarcane railways in Cairns will be doing in response to the damage as the collapsed bridge has isolated many cane farms served by rail.
