A video I made a long time ago, my sound test comparison of the Fishman Sonitone piezo under saddle against the LR Baggs Lyric Pickup. You'll notice how difference I look between shots which were filmed 3 years apart (hence my technique also improved over that time too)!

So several years in with my Tanglewood Orchestra Sundance Dreadnought acoustic guitar, I had two choices, save up the money to buy a 'better' Martin or Taylor, or consider upgrading my pickup system - especially important when I realised my Beat-Strum® playing was not being amplified and I often had to resort to using an additional microphone. The more complicated the set up, the more set up time required and the more there is to go wrong - I wanted a simple solution.

Thus after hours of YouTube video comparisons, discussion with friends and other cool guitar people, I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy myself the LR Baggs Lyric. I was so impressed with this, my cheap battered acoustic eventually got the same upgrade a few years later and that now acts as my back-up guitar for live work! it really comes to life through a PA played loud, the mics on videos can't give a true live representation.
