How to plant and maintain a succulent green roof on your shed...or anywhere for that matter!

Описание к видео How to plant and maintain a succulent green roof on your shed...or anywhere for that matter!

This week on The Horti-Culturalists we take a look at Stephen's brilliant succulent roof gracing his equally brilliant garden shed and ask the important question: why have an ugly shed!! But how did he make it? What plants did he use? What were the pitfalls and what were the pleasant surprises? We'll answer all these questions AND more. The idea can be adapted to any climate and it's a question of trial and error to see what will work for you. Stephen suggests using prostrate and rosetting types of succulents and some of the species he recommends are: Echeveria, Sempervivum, Sedum and Mesembryanthemum.
