Augmented[9] - so much symmetry and possible modulations in 9 notes

Описание к видео Augmented[9] - so much symmetry and possible modulations in 9 notes

This is one of rather few videos or recordings I've made where I tried to stick to the same scale for the whole thing (and I think I succeeded!). Like the title says, this is Augmented[9]: C D Eb E F# G G# A# B, featuring far more chords and scales within it than I can probably list here. 3-way (augmented temperament) symmetry, with C-E-G#, D-F#-A# and Eb-G-B all circles or points of transposition. Anything you can do in one of those keys you can do in the other two.

For a start we have C:
Lydmaj9, Lydmaj7, Lydmaj7#9, maj9#11, maj9, maj7, maj7#9#11, maj9#5, maj7#5#9, maj9b5, maj7b5#9,
9#11, 9, 7#9, 7, 9b5, 9#5, 7b5#9, 7#5#9,
m9, m7, mmaj9, mmaj7, ø9, ø7, omaj7, o

D:
9#5, 9b5, 7#5b9, 7b5b9, 7b5, 7#5,

Eb:
maj7#9#11, maj7#9, maj7, maj7#5#9, maj7#5, maj7sus4,
mmaj7, m6

And then a copy of all of those chords a major third above and a major third below.

I've thought about this scale for quite a while, but have only really been exploring it properly recently after listening to that interview with Allaudin Mathieu where he briefly mentioned it and studying it rather deeply.
