How to Play a Classical Guitar Tremolo

Описание к видео How to Play a Classical Guitar Tremolo

In this video I walk you through the exercises that have helped me develop the beautiful and musical tremolo that has brought me so much success in my career as a concert guitarist. Below you’ll find a description of finger-picking combinations as well as the description of each exercise according to its corresponding level.

“Finger A” - Ring Finger
“Finger M” - Middle Finger
“Finger I” - Index Finger

Exercise Level 1: Triplet tremolo on the first string going through all finger-picking combinations (listed below) individually.
Exercise Level 2: Four note tremolo, adding the thumb which plays a bass-line, going through all finger-picking combinations individually.
Exercise Level 3: Triplet tremolo, using the thumb, going through all finger-picking combinations individually.
Exercise Level 4: Triplet tremolo on the second string, using the thumb, going through all finger-picking combinations individually.
Exercise Level 5: The Circle, cycling through all finger combinations, in a row, in a triplet tremolo on the first and second string.
Exercise Level 6: Triplet/four-note tremolo, adding the thumb’s bass-line and inner melodies milliseconds before the first note of the triplet. This will create space for the thumb melody to truly shine melodically.
Exercise Level 7: Triplet/four-note tremolo while playing with rubato and accelerando in order to create a musical phrasing.
