Last cover of 2023!!! I hope you guys will stick around for next year's covers too!

Honestly this anime has been a bit of a banger this season! I'm not gonna say anything other than that you should absolutely watch it. God knows if spoke Mandarin, I woud've covered this song in Mandarin.

So I took some liberties with the lyrics. The original was clearly about sort of loving yourself and "become a flower" worth being coveted and while I did originally play with writing lyrics about that idea, I kept realizing that writing about Jinshi fascination with Maomao fit the instrumental a bit better so I really dug into that idea a lot. Hopefully you guys like it!

Also, this is just a note to myself but MAN I chose a GOD AWFUL key to sing it 💀 If any of you guys are singers, you might have realized that this song hovers around my 2nd passaggio and it made recording this song a NIGHTMARE. Eventually I said screw and just went with what I had recorded but for the next one, I'll DEFINITLY pick a better key.
