Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Berlin on Monday (December 1) where he was received with military honours by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz ahead of the 8th German-Polish Government Consultations.

German-Polish relations were described as “strained” by some German media ahead of Tusk’s Berlin visit and the focus of the meeting was to be on a joint news conference of the two government leaders following their closed-door talks.
