This was written as a tribute to my wife, Yvonne for rescuing me from myself and teaching me what true love really feels like. I owe what is left of my life to her. This melancholy jazz ballad was completely written in one take as a middle of the night recorded solo on keyboard as I contemplated how many years of my life was wasted by not marrying Yvonne sooner. It appeared on my first JazzBridge CD, Into Your Heart and later reprised on Designated Planets... A more recent offering featuring Kevin Whalum on vocals.
