THIS dietary change made a really big impact on my dizziness, and quickly....

Any guesses?

LOW CARB! And ultimately, I transitioned to keto (this was about 3 years ago).

I know my blood sugar was dysregulated but it got SO bad that I couldn’t go more than a few hours without eating and I started waking overnight feeling hypoglycemic (shaky, faint, empty, hungry, dizzy, anxious). These are some of the steps I took to mitigate it:

-Add fiber supplement 2x/day (I used psyllium husk) which helps to stabilize blood sugar
-Ate a high fat/protein snack right before bed
-Didn’t eat carbs in the morning because that’s when cortisol is highest and also release glucose into your blood

Ultimately, I decided to transition to keto so my body would run on ketones instead of glucose because my body needed a BREAK. When I started, I initially felt worse for a few days and then much more stable as time went on.

I’m no longer on keto, but even as I add more foods back into my diet, I am conscious of carbs and tend to feel better on the lower side.
