Olympic medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain said that India hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games will play a transformative role in shaping the country's sporting future and inspiring young athletes.

Calling it a big opportunity, she said major sporting events held on home soil open pathways for emerging players and motivate children to dream big and pursue sports more seriously.

“This is a huge opportunity for India. When such major competitions take place here, they open doors for so many players,” she said.
