The Best way to Sharpen Broadheads!

In this video Chris Creed is demonstrating how to get razor sharp broadheads with replaceable blades! There are many different ways to accomplish this, but we are big fans of the Stay Sharp Guide. So for this video we will use that guide.

The first step is to get the blade in the guide at the correct angle. A good way to tell if you are getting an even edge, take a sharpie marker and cover one side of the blade. With a few passes, all of the ink should be gone.

Next you will tighten down the blade and begin the sharpening process. No matter how you are sharpening, the goal is to get a bur on the edge of your blade, and then remove that bur with the next grit of sandpaper.

Work your way through the different grits until you are happy with the sharpness, and then for the last step take a piece of smooth cardboard, or a cereal box and do some back stroke passes to remove the last of the bur and you will be good to go!

The sharpness of your broadheads is a critical component of the performance so make sure you are sharp and ready to go!
