RPM WAP4 22838 (fitted with high-speed WBL-85 pantographs) powered 23 coach 12633 Chennai Egmore-Kanyakumari Superfast Express under 'control-caution' skips station at twilight. The resonant metallic sound generated from tracks...wow what a rhythm. But the unreserved coaches are overcrowded and looks so dirty.

Departs Egmore at 17:30 daily and arrives Kanyakumari at 06:50 next day.

One of the most exotic places to go in India is the city of Kanyakumari, also known as Cape Comorin, which is filled with many and interesting tourist attractions. Perhaps what makes it so interesting is the fact that it is located at the southernmost part of India, hence it is somewhat of a well of culture ready to be explored by tourists.
It is the very tip of the Indian peninsula and the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Nature is so spectacular at Kanyakumari that several other Indian beaches pale by comparison. Cape Comorin is at its best during Chitra Pournami (the full moon day in April) when the sun and moon are face to face on the same horizon but other full moon days are also special and you can see the sun set and the moon rise almost simultaneously. It seems as if it is by prior arrangement.Kanniyakumari is 705 kms from Chennai.
