PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation) leader Yasser Arafat continues trying to lead Palestine to freedom, erring on the side of non-violent resistance to the Israeli troops. When Arafat calls for a ceasefire, it’s Marwan Barghouti, head of Fatah in the West Bank's job to convince the gunmen to put away their weapons. But it seems that his support for Arafat’s rhetoric is clearly conditional. Other Fatah leaders feel that if Arafat wants to keep his position as the symbolic leader of the Palestinians, he must choose the path of struggle against occupation. "If he goes back to negotiations, he’ll lose his popularity." Has the patience of the Palestinians simply run out?
