French වලින් අපි කොහොමද තවත් කෙනෙක්ට greet කරන්නේ? අපි අද මේ පාඩමෙන් ඉගෙන ගන්නේ Greetings. ඒ වගේම මම Formal, Informal contexts කියන්නෙ මොනවද, You කියල කියන්න පාවිච්චි කරන Tu සහ Vous වචන දෙකේ වෙනස්කම මොකද්ද කියලත් පැහැදිලි කරනවා.

How do we greet others in French? We are going to learn French greetings in this lesson. I also explain what are formal and informal contexts and the difference between Tu and Vous:

We use formal language in situations that are serious or that involve people we don’t know well. Informal language is more commonly used in situations that are more relaxed and involve people we know well. In this video we focus on formal and informal language used in spoken English.

Tu is informal and singular, while Vous is formal and/or plural. That is, if you're talking to more than one person, it doesn't matter what your relationship is – you always need Vous.
