The Ultima VI Remake (on Exult) Is Great (Impressions)

I played the original Ultima 6 a long time ago, but I never finished it. I’ve always wanted to go back to it. But I honestly struggled a bit with its interface. So I was pretty thrilled that Exult did a remake of Ultima VI in the Ultima VII engine. It's great.

I’ve played through the first part of the game up to the point where I’ve gathered the 8 runes and recorded footage of me playing. I’ll go over my thoughts about the game so far as well as some of the things I like about the remake, but I should note that this isn’t a full review per se. More just like a video essay about the way the game deconstructs the virtues mixed in with some gameplay commentary that includes me screwing up. And just a warning, there’s going to be story spoilers throughout.
