Having a weak immune system is annoying because it leave your body more vulnerable to getting infections and colds.

Symptom #1 – You seem to always catch colds
Okay so the first tell tale sign is that you always catch colds. This seems obvious that you have a weak immune system however most people don’t know that the average person catches anywhere between one to three colds per year. Now if you catch a lot more colds than these then this may be a sign that you should start improving your immune system to reduce the frequency of catching a cold.

Symptom #2 – Takes a long time to recover from a cold
Similar to catching colds, the duration of a cold can also be a telltale signs as well usually a cold should last between 3 or 4 days so if your colds tend to be lasting what seem to be weeks on end then you may have a compromised immune system

Symptom #3 – You have a very dry nose
Having a runny nose is one of the most annoying things to have to deal with although it is actually a really good sign that your immune system is running and preventing colds and flus. The mucus in the nose traps the germs and viruses that may cause you to catch a cold and is expelled when you blow your nose. By having a really dry nose all the time it means your immune system may be compromised and makes it a lot easier for germs to enter your body.

Symptom #4– Cuts take a long time to heal
If it takes your body a long time to heal after getting a cut or scrape this may be a sign that you have a weak immune system. White blood cells will flood into cuts and scrapes to help attack invading germs and bacteria. This is a natural response for our body to clean our wounds however if it takes a long time for your body to heal wounds this could be a sign that your body isn’t responding fast enough.

Symptom #5 – You are Tired All The Time
While being fatigued all the time can have many causes this can also be a common symptom for people who experience a compromised immune system. Being tired means that there isn’t enough energy for our bodies to function properly and unfortunately this can result in our immune defences to lower. This is one of the reasons why being sleep deprived can be one of the major causes for a weak immune system. It is recommended that you aim for 7-9 hours of sleep
