Kalaimamani Dr Nithyasree Mahadevan is one of the prominent performing Carnatic vocalists and playback singers of today. Granddaughter of music legend, Padma Vibhushan D K Pattammal, she gave her first full-fledged performance at the early age of 14 and has over 500 albums to her credit.

She has had the blessing to perform many times in Prasanthi Nilayam, including the just concluded 96th Birthday Celebrations. For this week’s Sri Sathya Sai Sangeet, we present her rendition of the kriti, ‘Nagumomu Kanaleni’, from her concert in the divine presence on Aug 12, 2005.
