Enjoy a relaxing ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover at Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida! The attraction opened as The Wedway PeopleMover on July 1, 1975, based on the PeopleMover attraction at Disneyland in California (WED for Walter Elias Disney). Because the system did not utilize the rotating Goodyear tires used as propulsion in the initial version of the transportation mode, instead relying on Linear induction motors, Goodyear had no involvement in the East Coast version.
