A month long WCW Championship Tournament comes to an end at WCW Mayhem. Sting, Chris Benoit, Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett have all made it to the semi-finals, and one of these men will be crowned the new World Champion when Mayhem comes to an end.

Elsewhere on the card Sid Vicious gets a PPV rematch against Bill Goldberg, this time it's an "I Quit" match where the likelihood of one of these guys submitting is practically non-existent. The match of the century takes place when Kimberly Page squares off against David Flair, and Lex Luger tries to get out of a match against Meng but his plan doesn't work out too well.
