To install MongoDB on Windows 11, follow the steps below:

Go to the official MongoDB website (https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/...) and download the latest version of MongoDB for Windows.

Double-click on the downloaded .msi file to start the installation process.

In the installation wizard, select "Custom" setup type and click "Next".

Choose the installation directory where you want MongoDB to be installed and click "Next".

On the "Service Configuration" screen, select "Run service as Network Service user" and check the "Install MongoDB Compass" option if you want to install it.

Click "Install" to start the installation process.

Add the MongoDB bin folder path to your system's environment variable PATH. To do this, follow the steps:

c. Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click on the "Environment Variables" button.

d. Under the "System Variables" section, find the "Path" variable and click "Edit".

e. Click "New" and add the path to the MongoDB bin folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\5.0\bin).

f. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Open a new command prompt window and type "mongo" to start the MongoDB shell.
