The story of God and humanity is not filled with perfect people. This is an imperfect story filled with imperfect people… who at times do incredibly cruel things to one another, breaking relationships with each other and God. However, the story is also filled with opportunities to find a way back… a way of returning. To speak repentance is to acknowledge that the path one is on is not the right path. It took Judah awhile to speak his own repentance but in doing so restored not only himself but his entire family.
