1995 - 2005 GM Truck Van Delco Radio CD player shows ERR message won't play repair (Chevy Caddy GMC)

Описание к видео 1995 - 2005 GM Truck Van Delco Radio CD player shows ERR message won't play repair (Chevy Caddy GMC)

In this video I will go over ONE possible cause for a 90s era GM Delco Electronics radio to not play Compact Discs (CDs) and report "Err" on the display in Chevy GMC and Holden trucks and vans. In this particular case the problem is caused by an internal failure to properly seek the laser across the CD due to either binding of the tracking mechanism or debris obstructing the lens, affecting the lasers ability to read the encoded digital music data correctly. This all presumes you have eliminated the obvious primary reasons for this kind of error, which are a scratched or defective CD, upside down CD, moisture on the CD, or that you are trying to play a CD-R / MP3 content you made on your home computer (which these older technology CD players can't handle reliably).

The radio I am showing in the video is the original Chevrolet dealer installed GM 15766343 for a 1998 Chevrolet truck, but all of the radios in the year range of 1995 thru 2002 of the following makes and models should be the same, or very similar, in their disassembly and approach to this maintenance repair:

1995 - 2002 Chevrolet Silverado Chevrolet Cheyenne & GMC Sierra
1995 - 2002 Chevrolet Suburban Chevrolet Tahoe & GMC Yukon
1996 - 2005 Chevrolet Astro & GMC Safari
1996 - 2000 Chevrolet Express & GMC Savana
1999 - 2002 Cadillac Escalade

All of the following Delco radio part numbers should be SIMILAR to the CD player mechanism I've shown in this video as well: 15071233, 15071234, 15071628, 15763279, 15763131, 15764358, 15765006, 15769357, 16218925, 16240065, 16255455, 9383075, 9375915, 9375905, 16265895 across years 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 and 2005.
