BEAM Pitching: How to pitch your show

With applications for BEAM Showcase 2025 now open, we’d like to invite you to watch an event focusing on pitching your work to appear at BEAM2025. Hear from Matthew Eames (Head of Theatres, The Lowry), Kate Golledge (BEAM pitching facilitator/director), Suzanne Gorman (writer/producer), James Hadley (Exec Dir. of MTN), Natalia Scorer (Exec Dir. of MMD), and Kiki Stevenson (Programme Manager, The Other Palace).

Increasingly writers are asked to pitch their own work – so we want to take this opportunity to share top tips and help you get comfortable pitching your projects. Similarly directors, producers and other collaborators often find themselves in situations where they may be asked to advocate for a new musical they’re involved in developing. We’ll be hosting this session to aid you in your preparations for pitching for BEAM2025. Topics covered will also include pitching to producers, agents and collaborators in a limited timeframe; the so–called ‘elevator pitch’.
