Archaeologist Caitlin Delmas excavates the base of a 17th century Drinking Cup at Historic Jamestowne. Jamestown Rediscovery curators Merry Outlaw and Leah Stricker also inspect the ceramic and identify Thomas Ward as the potter. As early as 1620 Thomas Ward was making ceramics at Martin's Hundred. The video also displays a more complete version of a Thomas Ward Drinking Cup that is part of the Jamestown Rediscovery Ceramic Reference Collection.
