Recent interviews with Severance stars have gotten fans buzzing for the future third season, even with bombshell news drops such as Ben Stiller taking a step away from directing the sci-fi drama in Season 3. However, while Stiller's departure may take the headlines, Tramell Tillman's most recent Collider Forces interview reveals a far more fascinating look into how the actor interpreted one of the best scenes of Season 2. While Milchick (Tillman) was already a fan favorite with his beaming smile and great outfit in Episode 3, "Woe's Hollow," the scene where the character strips away his fancy language word by word in the mirror before repeating the phrase "grow up" to himself over and over was one of the best showcases of acting might in the series.

At first, it is easy to just view the scene as Milchick becoming evil and committing to terror, as the actor's past comments in an earlier interview with Collider implied the character was simply doing what he must "to be able to carry out what he needs to carry out" and, while difficult, was something Milchick was committed to. While the series has similar scenes that show the character's rising cruelty, such as when he taunts Mark S (Adam Scott) about his innie having sex with Helena Eagan (Britt Lower), Tillman's contemporary analysis of his character adds another layer of tragedy to the scene, as we see how it was far more personal for the character than simply following what his boss told him to.
