WORKSHOP 1: Life in the Pit: Rock Photographer The Experience 2016*

A TEI Experience with Lisa Johnson Rock Photographer

This practical application course will explore the ins-and-outs of living life in the pit as a photographer for a day with Lisa Johnson Rock Photographer. This course is a field trip to an actual photo pit, just like the pros do it, where you will have the experience to shoot a few songs of an actual band as they are actually performing live on the Vans Warped Tour. Not for the faint of heart. Photographing such a wild and varied experience like the Vans Warped Tour can be a little daunting. Especially if it’s one’s first time on the other side of the barricade. Hopefully with a little guidance and coaching they’ll be on their way to capturing that next iconic moment. Following the photo pit action, class will have a review of the experience together.

Students should bring a camera. Cell phones will not be permitted as cameras in the pit for this class. The class is limited to 10 students. Artists and stage tbd pending daily schedule. This class was very popular last year and often sold out. Advance purchase is strongly advised. Please wear close-toed shoes.

WORKSHOP 2: Rock Photographer 101: You Can Be A Photographer*

A TEI Experience Q&A with Lisa Johnson Rock Photographer

Curious about how to get started as a photographer? Then this workshop is for you. Learn what it takes to break into the biz, and more importantly how to stay in it. This inspirational Q&A workshop will explore the ins-and-outs of living life as a photographer, from where to get started, and then what to do once you do. Lisa will share her personal knowledge and experience and offer some guidance advice to put you on the right track.

Cameras are not required for this session. If you would like a portfolio review, please bring at least 8 images printed in minimum 8x10 format.
