Описание к видео How to Log Time to Billable Tempo Accounts

Logging your billable hours to a billable Tempo account in Tempo Timesheets gets you one step closer to getting paid! Follow along to see how to do that:
0:14 - Tempo accounts are a high-level organizer for categorizing logged time
0:22 - Example company: Lunar Industries uses billable accounts for tracking billable work
0:31 - Logging time to the correct Tempo account is key to creating an accurate invoice for the customer
0:38 - Example: Lunar Industries uses both billable and non-billable accounts to track different types of work done for the same customer, Greenergy
1:02 - Open the Accounts page in Tempo Timesheets, then open an account's Overview
1:11 - Check - and edit - account information here, including the Jira projects to which the account is linked. You can add or delete project links here.
1:25 - Click a project name from here to open it up in Jira.
1:32 - Set the default account for the Jira project. Not necessary to do this, but if you do, all new issues created for a project will automatically have the correct Account set for them. This makes it simple to log time to the correct account!
1:54 - Go to Project Settings - Apps - Accounts.
2:05 - Accounts that are linked are displayed, and you can link more accounts to a project here too.
2:11 - If you have multiple accounts linked, click Set Default on the account that you want to set it as the default one for the project. In this case, it's for the billable account. Only one account at a time can be default.
2:21 - Click Remove Default to "unset" the account, or click Clear Default so that there are no default accounts, or click Set Default on another account to switch to it as the default.
2:39 - Back in the project, you can see the Account field in an issue. This is set by a Jira admin adding the Tempo Account Custom Field to Jira issue screens, as explained in this video:
   • How to Get Set Up before Using Tempo Accounts
3:00 - For issues created before setting the default account, you need to select the desired account (in this case, a billable account) in the Account dropdown in the issue. Only accounts that have been linked to a project are available in this dropdown.
3:09 - Now all the time logged to this issue will be related to the selected account.
3:15 - Create a new issue in the project ...
3:25 - ... and see that the account set as default is automatically selected in the Account dropdown, so you're all set.
3:37 - Now you can log time to issues any way you like, including from the Tempo panel in a Jira issue.
4:06 - All the time logged to this issue will be set to the billable account that is selected - you don't need to do anything else to make this time "billable".
4:16 - If your Tempo admin created the Account work attribute, you can also select an account each time you log your time using the Account dropdown in the Log Time form. This lets you set the account per worklog instead of per issue. This is covered in this video:
   • How to Get Set Up before Using Tempo Accounts
4:36 - It's not necessary to use the Account work attribute if you have the Account field in Jira issues, but it does let you easily select a different account when you log your time. By default, it shows the ... default account you set for the project!
4:53 - For example, a different team member working on the same Jira issue may need to log their time to a different account than what is set for the project: they simply select it from the Account dropdown in the Log Time form. This lets you have worklogs with different Tempo accounts associated to the same Jira issue.
5:18 - As a project goes along, you can check the time logged to an account, in this case a billable account.
5:26 - Go back to the Account's Overview and click Timesheet, up at the right.
5:53 - This Timesheet is similar to a report, but to get a full report with more data than the current account's, you need to create a Logged Time report that you can export.
5:59 - Then the report for the billable account is sent to the finance department who creates an invoice that is sent to the customer ... and then you get paid!
This is covered in the next video:
   • How to Create a Report on Billable Account...
