This video is designed to work hand in hand with my written tutorial (link below and in the video) and is the original symlink guide for Mac Simmers. It explains how to store your Electronic Arts or Sims 4 folder on an external drive if you are struggling with space on your internal disk. It is a simple video but will hopefully help those who are struggling to create the symlink.

If you're looking to install the game and DLC (packs) on an external drive this is quickly and easily done in Origin/EA App:

EA App - Open EA App, click on EA App/Settings in the menu bar then Download in the app and change the install location to your external drive.

Origin - Open Origin, click on Origin/Preferences in the menu bar then Installs & Saves in the app and change the Game Library location to your external drive. More help here: https://bluebellflora.com/2023/07/16/...

If you already have an external drive formatted as APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with enough space left, you can skip the formatting drive section of the video and go straight to the guide link and explanation.
