Graft choice + preparation technique significantly impact patient outcomes. Research shows that graft diameter directly correlates with reconstruction success rates. While bone-patellar tendon-bone was traditionally considered the gold standard, hamstring tendon autografts now provide comparable stability with potentially less donor site morbidity.
