For 35 years, the San José Public Library Foundation has helped to transform lives by supporting San José Public Library programs and services that educate learners, engage the community, and empower people to follow their dreams.

San Jose’s libraries are essential, contemporary, and vibrant lifelong learning hubs. Thousands of community members of all ages, cultures, interests, and abilities enjoy the Library’s mostly free life-changing programs, resources, and services made possible by the San José Public Library Foundation’s financial support.

As we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we look back at our achievement of raising $35 million in 35 years serving 62,000 people annually. As we look forward, we have set the bold goal of raising $35 million more in 5 years serving 100,000 people annually. That’s 500,000 people – half the population of the City of San Jose!
