This video shows my initial thoughts of the bungalow I stayed in for a week at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. I am thinking these were original to the former RV park at this location. Keep reading for my thoughts from the week:

Pros:
location! Topsail Hill Preserve State Park was beautiful, had great hiking and biking trails, and the beach was amazing. 30a and a plethora of outdoor activities in Walton County.
cell coverage: with AT&T, I had 2 bars and could log into my phone's hotspot to get work done, although I couldn't stream videos or zoom very well. There were ample wifi spots within a few miles where I could do that.
Modern conveniences: although I only used the kitchen, bathroom, and one room, it was spacious, and could accommodate friends or family. I enjoy having a home base to adventure from where I can have AC and/or heat, a private bathroom, and a full kitchen to cook in.

Cons:
It was an older model and came with related smells (many of which dissipated with an initial airing)
It wasn't quite as nice as the cabins. If you have it in your budget (an extra $30 - as of December 2022) and cabins are available, definitely get a cabin. I have never been disappointed with the modern cabin experiences in Florida State Parks.
This particular park, especially the RV section, the sites were very congested. In the bungalow/cabin area, they were closer than some of the other parks I have stayed in, but I didn't hear any of my neighbors.
Tram to beach/trail heads: for me this is a con because I still mask and socially distance, so I brought my bike and rode the tram trails to get to the beach and trail heads. Note there are not parking areas directly at the beach or trail heads, you have to either ride the tram, walk, or bike to them.
Potential to be very crowded in warmer months. I was here in December and the park was busy. I can only imagine how much busier it might be when it is beach weather.
Air traffic noise: there is an active Air Force base nearby and I heard (and felt) jets and helicopters overhead on a daily basis. This might not bother others, but for me it was like being at an air show everyday.
