Indian travel vlogger Anant Mittal, popularly known as On Road Indian, was detained by Chinese authorities for nearly 15 hours after his social media comments related to Arunachal Pradesh allegedly triggered an alert during his entry into China on November 16. Mittal said he was stopped at immigration, held without explanation, and later had his phone and camera confiscated. He linked the detention to an earlier video expressing concern over an Arunachal Pradesh resident reportedly detained in China, stressing that he has no political affiliations and only documents travel and culture. After being told the “process” was complete, he was asked to leave the country and returned safely to India. The incident has triggered widespread debate on social media, with many backing the vlogger and urging him to approach the Ministry of External Affairs.
