The Walam Olum or Red Record is purportedly a historical narrative of the Lenape (Delaware) Native American tribe. The Walam Olum includes a creation, flood and migration description. The migration began in Asia and came over the Bering Strait to America some 3,600 years ago. It is claimed that the original narrative was recorded in pictographs on birch bark, or cedar wood tablets.
This account has been compared with the biblical creation, flood and migration account from Genesis. This was brought to my attention by Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson’s series on The New History of the Human Race, The Ancient Native American Connection to Modern Europe episode looks at the genetic markers showing family lineage.
