In modern New-Age teachings, the Sun is portrayed as Male and Moon as Female. This same generalization has also been adopted by many hindus. However, the original indo-european view of these gods was more subtle and intricate. The Sun was mostly worshipped as Female by Indo-Europeans. Most "shamanic" cultures also view the Sun as female and the Moon as male. In this video, I discuss some of the differences between the male and female aspects of the Sun in traditional Indo-European polytheist animism.
