Legends on Deck Podcast Episode 76: Reflections on the Game with Scott Sobkowiak

In Episode 76 of the Legends on Deck Podcast, Brian and David chat with former MLB pitcher, Scott Sobkowiak.  He was the 7th Round pick for the Atlanta Braves in the 1998 MLB Draft, out of the University of Northern Iowa. Scott share his story from making dents in his parents garage to being named one of the top pitching prospects in America.

Interesting Fact:  Scott tells his story about a college game against Wichita State, facing Braden Looper that put him on the radar of the MLB scouts.  Ironically, in Scott's debut game with the Braves on October 7, 2001, it was Braden Looper who picked up the save for the Marlins that day. 

Sobkowiak would play a decade of professional baseball, including several years in the independent leagues.  He has stayed active in the game through coaching and private instruction, including Sweet Spot Pitching on YouTube.  The LOD Podcast team enjoyed our conversation with Scott about his career in baseball and his overall perspective on how the game teaches life lessons.
