In this video we have covered the Hazar Sutun of Jahanpanah City and the story of Malik Kafur who was the important governor of Alauddin Khilji. This Hazar Sutun is known as Qasr-i-Hazar Sutun which was built by Alauddin Khilji in the Siri fort. This was actually a hall or palace with thousand pillars made of wood. This was the place where a lot of historical events took place. This is the place where Malik Kafur was killed. Here only Mubarak Shah, the son of Alauddin Khilji was killed. Khusrao Khan was also killed here. On the same spot, Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq sat on the throne and wept over the murders of the sons of Alauddin Khilji. Since, Hazar Sutun is the place where Malik Kafur was killed, that's why we have narrated the story of Malik Kafur in this video. He was captured during the conquest of Gujrat and was brought to Delhi.
