🎣 Nearshore Fishing San Pedro & Long Beach | Sharks, Halibut, Sculpin & Calico Bass! 🎣

In this video, we head nearshore out of San Pedro and Long Beach, California for an awesome day of fishing from the boat with Ammer and Kadin fishing side by side - and the action did not disappoint.

Right from the start, the bite was on. Ammer hooked a Halibut almost immediately, setting the tone for the day, and Kadin sealed the trip by catching one at the very end. In between, we battled some fun fish, including two sharks—a Dogfish Shark and a Leopard Shark—which made for some serious pulls and great memories.

Along the way, we also caught Sculpin (California Scorpionfish) and Calico Bass, keeping rods bent throughout the trip. We were fishing live bait sardines as well as hookup baits, and the live bait really did the trick.

• Live bait sardines
• Trap rigs with two hooks

– 30 lb fluorocarbon leader
• Hookup baits on 15 lb flourocarbon leader

The conditions couldn’t have been better—sunny skies, light wind, and beautiful boating weather—making it an all-around perfect day on the water. We launched out of Huntington Harbour, headed toward the San Pedro and Long Beach nearshore zone, and enjoyed steady action from start to finish.
