Victorian businesses have been brought to their knees by stage four restrictions and may now be forced under due to the extension of Premier Daniel Andrews’ strict measures.

The Victorian Premiers’ plan to ease the state out of lockdown has met with fierce criticism with the ‘road to recovery’ labelled a ‘road to nowhere’.

Business owners and politicians have warned many small businesses will not survive the extended lockdown and prolonged restrictions will be a disincentive for investors.

While, Labor has backed the staggered reopening blueprint, the Prime Minister described the extended lockdown as “crushing,” distancing the Commonwealth from the situation and pointing out those decisions were for the Andrews government.
