Homeschool: How to Memorize Math Facts Old School Style

This times tables memorization method is so old it's probably been in use since teachers rode their dinosaurs to work.

This is a very simple and cheap method for helping your child learn to memorize math facts. It's independent and effective. I taught public school for 7 years and I don't use a lot of public school methods in my homeschool, but this is one old-school math method that worked incredibly well with all students of at least typical ability.

Teaching your kids to skip count using skip counting songs or a game like Speed will also help them learn and remember their math facts.

In my experience, this simple method works better than flash cards, computer games, or apps.
