Scope & Content: This film contains unedited footage of Donald MacMillan's expedition to Greenland. In reel 1, Eskimos pose and footage shows campsite scenes, a walrus, dogs, and a seaplane as it was loaded on the schooner Bowdoin. In the second reel, the Bowdoin moved through ice floes. The seaplane was unloaded into the water, and taxied into a cove. The third reel shows MacMillan and others posed on deck and activities aboard as the ship entered an inlet in Greenland. Lifeboats were then lowered. In reel 4, MacMillan posed in furs, a seaplane was rolled into the water and aerial views of land and water were shown. Reel 5 showed Eskimo families in the village of Etah and a seaplane as it taxied. In reel six, the Bowdoin moved through ice floes.
