Here's 3 reasons why you might want a gas golf cart instead of a lithium ion cart! And before you Lithium Lovers flip your lid in the comment section, stay tuned as we're already making a video on why you'll want lithium instead of gas!

Range.
Depending on the battery's amp hour rating. You can get anywhere from 20-70 miles of range per charge on a Lithium battery. Meanwhile a gas golf cart will easily go 150 to 200 miles per tank of gas.

Charging.
Not only can a gas golf cart go 3 to 5 times further per tank of gas than a fully charged Lithium cart. But when you get low on a gas. You just fill it back up real fast and go another 150 miles. When you Lithium battery starts to die, you're going to need to charge for 3-6 hours to be able to use it again. And if you hop in your Lithium cart to go golf 18 holes and figure out your kids drove it down to 10% and forgot to plug it in, you're not going to be very happy.

Cost.
If we're comparing apples to apples here. A Lithium golf cart will cost more than gas. And although it might cost a few hundred bucks a year to buy gas and give the cart it's yearly service, Lithium batteries are anywhere from $2k to $4k and if you have to replace that battery 8 years down the road, you might find yourself spending more on that Lithium cart over a 10 year period than you do a gas one.

CLOSING.
So if you want the furthest range, you don't want to deal with charging it every time you're using it, and you want to spend a little less money upfront or even long term, then you might want to consider going gas instead of lithium.
