Division 1 CIFSS Championship - Notre Dame (SO) vs Windward - Condensed Game 4K

The number 1 and 2 seed made their way though the Division 1 bracket to the Championship. It was in some ways a statement game for both schools who felt like they deserved to be in the open division pools. Notre Dame led by senior and Houston bound Mercy Miller head to head with Gavin Hightower and the Windward Wildcats. It was Windward who is known to come out from the tip pushing the pace taking the early lead. This back and forth contest was a race to who can create turnovers and turn those into quick and easy buckets. The unsung hero was Caleb Ogbu who was a perfect 4-4 from three scoring 14 points for the Knights. Miller and Angelino Mark helped Notre Dame take the lead in the 3rd quarter outscoring Windward 21-13 in the frame. Windward made a late surge in the final minutes of the game and took a 1 point but Miller's jumper and key free throws gave the Knights the lead back and eventually the Division 1 Championship. Miller ended with a game high 22 points. Angelino Mark finished with 16 points, Bronson Schmidt-Uili 11 points 8 rebounds.
Gavin Hightower led the Wildcats with 21 points, Louis Bond 15 points, Jeremiah Hampton 13 points.
