The MG HS is the brand’s best selling model in the UK, being the 10th overall best seller on the market in July 2024!

In recent years MG has gone from strength to strength with its new models including the MG4, MG3 Hybrid+, Cyberster and more on the way, this 2nd generation of the HS shares the new brand design language with the rest of the range.

The price point on the HS is a huge incentive to choose a different brand than usual for new customers, a few things let it down slightly like the below average MPG and few personalisation options, however both of these should be improved with the addiction of the PHEV and self-charging hybrid variants.

The new HS is based on SAIC’s Roewe RX5, a more premium sub-brand, this premium look and feel is carried throughout the interior and exterior of the new HS, making it look very competitive amongst rivals like the Ford Kuga, Volkswagen Tiguan & more, once the hybrid models come along, this will unlock a whole lot more rivals like the Honda CR-V & Toyota RAV4!
