Wg Cdr Abhijit Gokhale is a retired Indian Air Force fighter pilot. He has had an pilot error free accident record for more than three decades and was also commended by the IAF for saving crippled aircraft.
Born in Mumbai, he did his entire schooling in Baroda, Gujarat and joined the National Defence Academy in 1988. Nicknamed ABBEE by the IAF, he has been given the suffix TheRebel for his “never say die attitude” and his motto of “nothing can be achieved unless you try it at least once”, because he strongly believes, “not failure but low aim is a crime”.

During his IAF service, he has travelled the length and breadth of the country and served in remote locations, in challenging terrain and the most inhospitable weather conditions while flying more than 15 types of aircraft, primarily the MiG 21, in Air Combat, Ground Attack and Electronic Warfare missions. He has been a pilot for the Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra and also flew for Reliance Industries.
He is a Qualified Flying Instructor and holds a Masters Degree in Defence Studies. He holds a MBA degree in Aviation Management. He has been recently conferred a Doctorate in Aviation by Washington University.
A keen runner, he also rides two motorcycles, one of which is a Harley Davidson. He is a keen hiker and a cyclist and has undertaken day long solo cycle trips. He has also been a keen marathoner and running is his passion, one he developed after retiring from the IAF.
His hobbies include playing the harmonica, the drum set, a bit of guitar and keyboard.
He other activities include guiding young students in joining the Armed Forces and Soft Skills Training. He is also a registered guide for MBA students, consultant for three Hindi film, a TEDx speaker, a Happy Coach and motivational speaker. He is also extensively involved in online talks on various subjects.
Currently settled in Mumbai, he flies the Airbus 320 aircraft for an airline.

Lt. Commander Nikhil Kumar Chandrakala (Retd.) served as the Youngest Panelist on the Officers' Selection Board of the Indian Navy. He is the youngest Group Testing Officer to have served in the Indian Armed Forces since 1947!

Lt. Cdr. Nikhil KC (Retd.) served in coveted appointments onboard frigates in the Western Fleet of the Indian Navy, on ships of Killer Squadron, legacy bearer of 1971 war. He was also Aide-De-Camp of the Admiral Commanding Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area.

As Captain of the Warship – Indian Naval Immediate Support Vessel T-15, Senior Officer, ISVs (West), he spearheaded a team of 16 officers and 102 men to defend Oil-Field Exploration Areas on the Western Seaboard of India. He and his team were featured in a documentary shot by India Today TV which was aired on National Television on 26 Jan 2017. The documentary is titled "Defenders of India - Story of India's Sea Horses", which can be seen here :-
