Esperance Tjaltjraak Rangers Fish Ecology project

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is collaborating with the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation on a fish ecology project.

This project involves fish ecology data collection, water quality testing, and observation of plastic debris in Benwenerup/Stokes Inlet every 2 months over the 6 Nyungar seasons. This provides insight into environmental change, and allows us to adapt to what’s happening on Country. We can also use the project outcomes for stock assessments for black bream in Benwenerup.
