Joey Brite is a second waver feminist & lesbian activist w/roots centering women, lesbians & child safeguarding. She is a social & cultural critic who isn't afraid to go there and has the scars to show it. Joey lives in the Bay Area and has been closely following the facts and analysis around this case.

Amie Ichikawa is formerly incarcerated and the founder and executive director of the small nonprofit organization Woman II Woman. She initiated the current lawsuit against the California Dept of Corrections against SB132 that allows gender self ID, acts as a resource hub for women in and out of prison, and is dedicated to educating and empowering incarcerated women.
