Mangala Bansode is most popular for her decades of inspiring work in the Tamasha art form of Maharashtra. She started performing at the young age of 7. Later, with the support of her husband, she started her own ‘Fad’ in the year 1984 – 1985.

She has a son named Nitin Kumar Bansode. Her mother Vithabai Narayangaonkar was also working for a long time in the field of Lavani and Tamasha and was also called as Tamasha Samradini.

Though herself educated only till the 4th standard, she has helped a number of schools in Karad, Nagpur etc on the basis of her popularity and performances.

Awards :

She was also a president’s award winner. She was the winner of the Anna Bhau Sathe puraskar in 2001.
