Lia Fáil, Ireland [The Stone Of Destiny] Coronation of Irish Kings, Under-Ground Myths, Hill of Tara

Howdy ya’ll. Today we’re looking at The Stone of Destiny; Lia Fàil on The Hill of Tara, in Ireland. This was the location for the legendary coronation of the kings of Ireland since before recorded history. When we dive into the myths and legends surrounding the Stone of Destiny, and the locations where it traveled to and from, we come to find it has ties to many other ancient kingdoms.

One of these legends involves the Tuatha Dé Danann, a mythical group of beings said to be banished to a form of the underworld, residing directly below Ireland. In a similar mythos we read of Tartarus, the legends of a buried world from Greece and Rome, as well as Tartary or Tartaria. I will compare the legends surrounding these lands briefly, while contrasting them with an ancient map from the earliest History of the World written in German, from circa 1544.
