Mizuho MX 14S - 2 watts QRP Portable

I have only had this Mizuho MX-14S 20m SSB/CW portable transceiver for 2 days, and the bands have been in very poor shape here in VK3. However today I was able to make contact with ZL3CHE. At first this was with the radio connected to an 80m-10m end fed half wave. I was then able to continue the QSO using the standard Mizuho telescopic whip antenna, and a short counterpoise wire.

Despite the poor band conditions, using only 6 x AA batteries, 2 watts, a telescopic whip and some yelling (sorry! hihi) we had a QSO. The distance was approximately 2,375 km (1,476 mi).

PLEASE NOTE - this video was recorded in Whatsapp Messenger, and the app was locked in Portrait mode at the time. This is also why the resolution is low. If this bothers you, just move along :)
