"Precision And Order"

Don Sanderson Drum Cam-Mary Poppins The Musical. I played Mary Poppins from August 9-25, 2019, at St. Lukes UMC, Orlando, FL. I make these videos primarily to review and check on my performances. I have found that it is also helpful to other drummers, and that general audiences enjoy watching drummers work. This is a non mixed audio track. I use the Zoom Q2n 4k camera. This video was shot from about 10 feet away from the drum set. The pit orchestra consisted of 11 people. Keys1, 2, cello, flute, woodwinds, 2 french horns, trumpet, trombone, bass and drums. We were located in a separate room adjacent to the stage. We had one large speaker to monitor electronic instruments and vocals on stage. The vocal mix is not great from this perspective but I was told the mix was amazing in the house. The Q2n is an amazing recorder. On some of these tracks I was playing very soft and it still sounds pretty loud. Precision and Order finds us at George's work, the bank. This is a cool tune because it has a mechanical sounding groove you play on the high hat, wood block and cowbell. There is some snare drumming and suspended cymbals as well.
